Captain Stacey L. Chance

          Captain Stacey L. Chance is a native Californian who grew up in the Napa Valley. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics from the Engineering Department at San Jose State University. He is also author of the popular Fear of Flying Help Course, a website which offers free fear of flying lessons.
          Stacey has flown a wide variety of aircraft, from small ultralights to Boeing jumbo jets. As a Captain for one of the largest airlines in the world, he has been flying professionally for over 24 years and has logged over 15,000 hours of flight time. Stacey holds many pilot ratings and licenses including Airline Transport Pilot, Flight Engineer, Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, and Advanced Flight and Ground Instructor Certificates.
          Over the years Stacey has encountered many passengers who were uncomfortable with the idea of flying. At times passengers would stop by the cockpit during the boarding process to express their concerns. Some would be visibly shaking or crying uncontrollably. It was these experiences that motivated Stacey to find a way to help ease their fears.
          His research led him to develop his successful and popular online Fear of Flying Help Course. His course combines some of the best methods currently available to overcome fears and draws on his years of experience interacting with nervous passengers. In addition, he has drawn on the feedback of his fear of flying students to help develope his program and now his new book - Wings of Discovery. Eagle
